In a shocking incident in Behula Aida village of Hooghly Balagarh, a 69-year-old man named Madan Ghosh lost his life in a property dispute with his two sons. The tragic event unfolded in the morning when Madan Ghosh engaged in a heated argument with his sons over property matters.
The dispute escalated, leading the sons to violently strike their father on the head with a brick near their residence. Subsequently, believing him to be dead, they transported Madan Ghosh to the banks of the Ganga, where, upon detecting signs of life, they resumed their brutal assault. Witnesses from the local community intervened upon witnessing the horrifying scene, prompting the sons to flee, leaving their injured father behind. Balagarh police station and Guptipada outpost police were alerted, initiating an investigation to apprehend the absconding sons.
